Blue Willow plates
Blue Willow has been around since 1780 and versions have been made by nearly all the British Potteries.
This is Churchill Blue Willow and it really is a classic. It mixes really well with either your plain white crockery or other blue and white patterns…
Read the Willow Legend, and find out what the illustration means…just try not to cry, it’s very sad, I’m afraid..
I’m not sure quite why I added the last picture – well it was to demonstrate how common all blue and white patterns were at one time – it’s a picture of some Victorian Tunnels which were filled with rubble.
The dinner plate measures 26cm across (that’s a 10″ plate).
