We have six sizes of the excellent Duralex Lys glass bowls. They have the same double ribbed band as the 'Gigogne' glasses.
The largest is a fruit bowl size down to the smallest which would be good for dipping sauce, salt or pepper or as you can see from the pics, paperclips (the nearest thing I had to hand for scale). The 10cm size is good for olives etc and the 14cm and 17cm are pudding sizes depending on how much you like pudding.
Like all of the Duralex make, they are very tough - not unbreakable - but certainly not fragile.
They are the definition of a plain bowl.
