Made from Ash (not ash – that would be silly) which is then fired in a kiln. If you fire timber all the little gaps close and voila! you have a properly waterproof piece of timber. A great soap dish. Not noisy or skiddy on the side of the basin like ceramic or metal would be. And of course won’t smash when you drop it. 11x7cm with rubber feet.
