Perfect for prepping, it has a serrated blade and a \"full tang\" (where the blade runs all the way through the handle) which makes it super strong and reliable. It's unbelievably sharp (please be careful - let the tomato have it, not your fingers).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\"Le Mordant\" is their improved version, still with the legendary \"Le Chien\" engraving on the blade. It has a kind of weird but excellent ornate handle - made from...er, maroon plastic. And now the serrations on the blade are a 'half-moon' shape for an even more accurate cut.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbsolutely dishwasher safe by the way. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: #1f2124;\"\u003eIt'll be your best friend in your kitchen drawer, you mark my words.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe also have the equally excellent 'table' version - ie not serrated\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: #1f2124;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e,\u003c\/span\u003e but ruddy sharp all the same.
