I remember the first time I saw one of these (yawn). My friend Kathy's mum, who is a fabulous cook had one. The concept of not being able to 'lick the bowl' actually horrified me. These things scoop the bowl CLEAN. No chocolate cake mix left for YOU! I love how thrifty they make cooking - no waste at all. And don't get me started on how satisfying they are to use. Like washing a window with a squeegee. 

No funny colours or gimmicks here. Just a rubber spatula with a wooden handle. 28cm long.

A handy little implement for sourdough

OK, I know what you're thinking! It's a spatula.
But this is no ordinary spatula, my friends. This little number, which feels nicely weighty, is ideal for scraping every last bit of starter from the sides of my Weck jar (also from Utility) into the bottom of the jar. It cleans the sides like magic, and sad though this might sound, it has become my bread making friend and assistant. I truly wouldn't be without it.
