Fly Paper

Fly Paper: Just one of those things.. With the added benefit of an enhanced Tom and Jerry look to your kitchen (or wherever). Pack of four rolls or in singles.

Comes with its own drawing pin to attach. If you get any of the sticky stuff on your fingers, a little white spirit will get it off.

Apparently "Birds flying freely in the room can get caught in the fly catcher! Remove glue from fur or feather with cooking oil." 

Now I have a picture in my head of a very chaotic room.

We have fly swats too (not for use on indoor free-flying birds, mind).
