Kitchen sink plug/strainer

Honestly, they need to to name this properly. So much gesturing in the shop as we all try to describe what it is we want. And yet pretty much everyone has a kitchen sink plughole that takes one of these strainer-plug-basket things.

And what a trial it was to find this. The holy grail. It's been on the 'find list' here for years. There are a lot out there that just don't work. Either the plug doesn't plug or the strainer doesn't strain. This one does. AND it's made in the UK. When I swapped my tired one for one of these, it made me feel like I had a brand new kitchen. I urge you to do the same.

You know the drill - it strains the crud from the washing up when resting in the plughole. If you push it down it works as the plug. Just lift to drain the sink.

Of all the new items recently listed on the website, this is the one I'm most excited about. Yep, I'm a regular riot.
