The rubber pet hair remover is excellent for low pile fabric, clothes and pillows etc. The grip on the crud is something else and you'll be piling up a clod of fur in no time. Great on hard surfaces too. It's a mix of the friction and static that makes this so effective.

The wire coil one is better for slightly longer pile fabric (see the cord thing in the picture) rugs and carpets (really good on stair carpets), car mats, velvets etc. Not good for knitwear, delicate fabrics. This one has little micro teeth that get the really embedded hair and fluff but do be careful where you use them.
