Well I never: Did you know that Peugeot made salt and pepper mills long before they made cars? The Bistro mills are the most classic of all their designs.
Some say these are the best mills you can get. Importantly, the mechanisms are different for salt a pepper.

DRY SALT MECHANISM
The Peugeot salt mechanism is designed to grind cooking salt (rock salt). It is made of a special stainless steel that resists corrosion. Its shape is specifically adapted to transform dry salt crystals to a fine powder. To get the best out of your Peugeot salt grinding mechanism, you should use salt with a size of 4mm max.
10cm 'Bistro' pepper mills in dark chocolate brown or pale wood. We have the salt in both light and dark wood (some prefer the pepper to be dark and the salt, light to tell the difference quickly).
